The Wolves are Coming!

As you are all probably aware at this point, the reintroduction of gray wolves to Colorado has already begun! Six wild gray wolves from Oregon, have been released in the North Park area. Hopefully they will thrive and join up with the existing small packs that have come down from Yellowstone and taken up residence in the Walden area. 

A wild wolf can travel 30 miles in a day. They have already been spotted in the Larimer River Valley. Expect to see or hear wild wolves in the near future! Please keep in mind that wolves, as an apex predator, contribute to a healthy ecosystem. Let’s all welcome our new neighbors!
